About the role
We are building Cognavi 3.0 an AI-powered job discovery and matching platform for engineering graduates
and hiring companies. The product serves multiple markets, so the frontend has to be fast, localisation-ready, and mobile-first from day one.

You will own the web frontend: building new product surfaces, keeping the codebase clean as it grows, and working directly with our backend engineers and product manager in the Delhi office.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership not a ticket-closing seat.

What you'll do

1.Build and ship product features in a Next.js (App Router) codebase layouts, server and client components, route handlers, streaming and caching.

2. Translate designs into responsive, mobile-first interfaces that hold up on low-end Android devices and slow networks.

3.Own server-state management with React Query caching, invalidation, optimistic updates, pagination.

4.Work with backend engineers to shape API contracts, and flag gaps early rather than working around them in the UI.

5.Keep the UI localisation-ready so recent languages can be added without a rewrite.

6.Own frontend performance and quality Core Web Vitals, bundle size, image handling, accessibility basics.

7. Contribute to the component library and coding standards; review other people's code and explain your reasoning.

8.Collaborate asynchronously with engineering and business stakeholders in Japan,



with clear written updates.

Must have

1. 3+ years building and shipping production web applications with React.
Strong, hands-on Next.js App Router experience you understand server vs. client components, data fetching and caching behaviour, and when each rendering approach makes sense.

2.React Query (TanStack Query) for server state not just use Effect + fetch Tailwind CSS in a real project, with a sense of when to extract components vs. repeat utilities.

3.Mobile-first responsive CSS you design from the smallest breakpoint up, and you test on actual devices.

4.Solid JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals, and a clean Git workflow.

Good to have :-

Orval generating typed API clients and React Query hooks from OpenAPI specs.

Internationalisation (i18n) next-intl, i18next, or similar; experience with non-Latin scripts (Japanese) is a strong plus.

Framer Motion purposeful interaction and transition work, not decoration.

Zustand lightweight client state alongside server state.
PWA service workers, offline behaviour, installable app experience.
GTM / GA4 or similar analytics event instrumentation, funnel tracking, and reading the data afterwards.
