Role Overview: This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role responsible for designing and developing creative primary and secondary packaging solutions across multiple product categories. The role demands strong analytical skills, creativity, and the ability to drive projects from concept to execution in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Packaging Design Support
- Deliver packaging solutions for Flipkart Minutes, Foods, Large, and Externalization categories.
- Design packaging materials for new product launches with timely execution.
- Innovation & Future Readiness
- Develop new packaging materials/formats focusing on scalability, sustainability, fungibility, and simplification.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and customer experience improvement.
- - Process Improvement
- Drive packaging process optimization and automation across fulfillment centers, MH, and DH/DS.
- Establish packaging solutions that enhance efficiency and operational excellence.
- Execution & Vendor Development
- Create design documents, prototypes, and conduct field trials.
- Perform supplier audits and support vendor development initiatives.
- Competencies & Skills
- Design Thinking and data-driven problem solving.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate strategies into execution.
- Knowledge of packaging materials, delivery gear/assets, packing processes, and packaging machinery.
- Awareness of latest trends in packaging technology and validation protocols.
- Ability to manage projects through large stakeholder groups and thrive in ambiguous situations.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical stream.
- Post-Graduation in Packaging (mandatory).
- 2–3 years of experience in Packaging Design (preferably from Indian Institute of Packaging).
