We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Critical Care Physician to provide evidence-based care for critically ill patients admitted to Medical, Surgical, Cardiac, Neuro, and Multi-specialty Intensive Care Units. The candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality intensive care while ensuring patient safety and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill adult patients.
- Lead the management of sepsis, septic shock, ARDS, multi-organ failure, poisoning, trauma, and post-operative ICU patients.
- Perform ICU procedures including:
- Endotracheal intubation
- Central venous catheter insertion
- Arterial line placement
- Temporary dialysis catheter insertion
- Mechanical ventilation management
- Bedside ultrasound-guided procedures
- Interpret ABG, ECG, laboratory investigations, and imaging.
- Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary ICU rounds.
- Respond to medical emergencies and Code Blue activations.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EMR.
- Counsel patients' families regarding prognosis and treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection control, NABH/JCI compliance, and clinical audits.
- Supervise junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff.
- Participate in academic activities, CMEs, and research.
Educational Qualification (Preferred)
Preferred
- DM / DrNB Critical Care Medicine
Also Eligible
- MBBS + MD/DNB Anaesthesiology
- MBBS + MD/DNB Emergency Medicine
Candidates with Fellowship/IDCCM/EDIC/ISCCM-accredited Critical Care training and relevant ICU experience may also be considered for appropriate grades, depending on institutional policy.
Experience
Senior Registrar
- 0-2 years ICU experience after MD/DNB
Junior/Associate Consultant
- 4 years' experience in a tertiary care ICU
Consultant
- 6+ years' experience in Critical Care Medicine
