Location: Pune

Temporal Developer / Senior Software Engineer

Required Technical Skill Set

Temporal.io server/workflow concepts, distributed systems, backend services, Go/Java or similar concurrent programming languages, APIs/platform services, observability, testing, reliability, performance, Kubernetes/cloud-native platforms

5+ years of experience building and operating production distributed systems.

Hands-on ability to build prototypes and provide design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more Temporal-supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C#, or PHP.

Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, concurrency, fault tolerance, scheduling, workflow execution, and performance engineering.

Hands-on experience writing concurrent production code using Go, Java, or other applicable backend languages at high-intermediate/advanced level.





Experience building high-scale or performance-sensitive backend services such as request-serving systems, task queues, schedulers, streaming/replication pipelines, rate limiting, sharding, load balancing, workflow engines, or orchestration systems.

Ability to design, implement, and ship features for Temporal-based server/workflow components and related platform services.

Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and operational skills with focus on reliability, observability, dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and documentation.

Experience designing and building backend APIs or platform services.

Ability to participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, engineering tradeoff analysis, and quality-focused implementation practices.

Understanding of developer experience, operability, testing, performance, and reliability considerations for open-source and enterprise platform users.

Strong collaboration skills to work with engineers, product managers, cloud/platform teams, and customer-facing teams.
