Location: Kurla, Mumbai
Role Overview
We are looking for Qualified Chartered Accountants (First or Second Attempt) to join our Internal Audit team. The role offers an opportunity to work across key business and support functions, evaluating internal controls, governance processes, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness within a dynamic NBFC environment.
The incumbent will be responsible for executing risk-based audits, identifying process gaps, assessing key risks, and recommending practical control improvements to strengthen the organization's control framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute risk-based internal audits across business and support functions in accordance with the approved audit plan.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, operational processes, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and operational risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Prepare audit documentation, working papers, and audit reports with clear observations and actionable recommendations.
- Review the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information used for business decision-making.
- Participate in thematic reviews, special audits, investigations, and process improvement initiatives,
as required.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to discuss audit observations and track timely closure of agreed action points.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments and emerging risks relevant to the NBFC sector.
Eligibility & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI).
- 0 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in Internal Audit, Risk, or Assurance within Banks, NBFCs, HFCs, or reputed audit firms.
- [In case you have recently qualified CA (fresher), exposure to conducting & executing internal audits in articleship and/or industrial training would be preferred]
- Exposure to business audits, operational audits, branch audits, credit audits, concurrent audits, or audits of corporate/support functions will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements applicable to the BFSI sector.
- Positive analytical, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
