Job Title: Training Lead - Music
Location: Mumbai or Bangalore
Type: Full time, 6 days a week, 2nd and 4th Saturdays off

About the Organisation - Central Arts Department:-
We are a 120-branch school network delivering structured arts education to 80,000+ children across India. Our Arts Department includes Music, Dance, Theatre, Drawing, Pottery, and Textile and other Visual Arts, implemented through dedicated lab spaces and trained educators in every branch.
We are building one of the largest structured school-based arts ecosystems in the country.
Our mission is to ensure that arts education is delivered with rigour, consistency, and visible student outcomes- not as an extracurricular add-on, but as a serious developmental discipline.
With ~20 new branches opening across Karnataka, Hyderabad, and Tamil Nadu, maintaining high teaching standards at scale is our priority.

Role Summary
The Training Lead will be responsible for improving teaching quality and raising student output standards.
The ideal candidate:
Understands how children learn
Can step into classrooms and model excellence
Trains by demonstrating, not preaching
Enjoys administrative work as much as creative work
Travel and on-ground presence are essential.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Teacher Training & Development
Design and conduct practical online and in-person trainings
Create demonstration-based training resources
Support hiring and onboarding of teachers in newly opened branches
Strengthen teachers technical and instructional skills.
2. Teaching Quality & Classroom Excellence
Conduct branch visits and classroom observations
Demonstrate lessons and co-teach where required
Mentor teachers through structured, actionable feedback
Improve execution quality, student engagement
Ensure consistency of teaching practices across branches
The Training Lead must be willing to teach students directly when required.
3. Student Projects, Events & Showcases
Lead large-scale student projects across branches
Plan and execute performances or showcases
Ensure student work is showcase-ready and reflects high standards
Support participation in festivals, competitions, and school events.
4. Innovation & R&D;
Improve subject-specific tools, techniques, and lab processes
Pilot and test new ideas before scale rollout
Identify gaps in implementation and solve them practically
Contribute to long-term strengthening of the department.
5. Coordination & Administrative Responsibilities
Coordinate with academic and operations teams
Work with central, zonal and school teams
Maintain structured documentation and reporting
Track implementation and follow-up across branches
Subject-Specific Expectations
Expertise in any 1 instrument [keyboard, percussion, guitar]
Ability to prepare students for stage-ready performances
Strong ear for pitch, rhythm, and ensemble discipline.
Qualifications & Experience:-
Bachelors degree or formal training in the relevant discipline (Masters preferred)
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in teaching and/or training
Experience mentoring or training adult educators preferred
Experience working in structured school environments is an advantage
Travel Requirement
This role requires frequent travel, especially to current branches across Karnataka, Hyderabad, and Tamil Nadu.
Train travel is sponsored by the organisation
Food expenses are reimbursed as per policy.
Compensation
Salary band: 15% hike on current ctc.
(Compensation will depend on prior experience and performance across selection rounds.)
