Key Responsibilities

ETP Operations & Maintenance

- Oversee day-to-day operations of ETP including primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment systems.
- Ensure smooth operation of equipment such as clarifiers, aeration tanks, filters, RO, MEE, sludge dewatering systems, pumps, and blowers.
- Monitor process parameters (pH, BOD, COD, TSS, flow, etc.) and ensure treated water meets discharge/reuse standards.
- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of ETP systems.

Compliance & Regulatory Management

- Ensure compliance with KSPCB / CPCB / MOEF norms and consent conditions.
- Coordinate for statutory inspections, audits, and sample analysis.
- Maintain all ETP-related records, logs, and reports as per regulatory requirements.
- Support environmental audits (internal and external).

Team Management

- Lead and supervise ETP operators, technicians, and contract manpower.
- Provide training to staff on ETP operation, safety, and environmental practices.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure round-the-clock plant operation.

Process Optimization & Cost Control

- Optimize chemical consumption, power usage, and sludge generation.




- Identify opportunities for water recycling, reuse, and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and sustainability.

Safety & Documentation

- Ensure adherence to safety standards and use of PPE in ETP operations.
- Prepare SOPs, work instructions, and emergency response procedures.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Coordination & Reporting

- Coordinate with production, maintenance, EHS, and utility departments.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for management.
- Support new project installations, upgrades, or capacity expansion of ETP.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and ZLD systems
- Hands-on experience in ETP operations in manufacturing industries (chemical, pharma, textile, FMCG, etc.)
- Good understanding of environmental laws and compliance
- Leadership and team management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Valuable communication and documentation skills
