We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller / Manager Finance & Accounts to lead the finance function, ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The role oversees accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, treasury, cash flow, and statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate will strengthen internal controls, optimize financial processes and working capital, manage financial risks, and deliver strategic insights to support business decisions. Partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, they will drive financial performance, governance, and sustainable business growth.

Role & responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

- Lead accounting and financial reporting across group entities, ensuring compliance with Ind-AS, the Companies Act, and statutory requirements.
- Strengthen financial controls across inventory, receivables, revenue recognition, and reporting in a multi-channel FMCG business.
- Oversee inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, and control processes across warehouses, co-packers, and quick commerce partners.
- Manage accounts receivable, including credit control, collections, and reconciliation across distributor, modern trade, e-commerce, and quick commerce channels.
- Drive end-to-end reconciliation of orders, returns, claims, commissions, and payouts to ensure revenue accuracy and minimize leakage.
- Prepare timely MIS reports and dashboards, delivering channel-wise, SKU-wise, and financial performance insights to management.
- Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identify key variances, and recommend corrective actions.

Budgeting & Forecasting

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and rolling financial projections.
- Deliver MIS, variance analysis,



and financial dashboards for management.
- Monitor profitability, costs, and cash flow to support business decisions.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

- Manage cash flow and optimize working capital across receivables, payables, and vendor payments.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and support debt compliance, lender reporting, and interest servicing

Internal Controls & Process Excellence

- Establish and strengthen internal controls across inventory, receivables, payables, and revenue.
- Standardize finance processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of inventory, distributor, and quick commerce/e-commerce transactions.
- Drive finance automation, ERP/Tally optimization, and system integration initiatives.
- Enhance reporting accuracy, financial close timelines, and decision-support insights.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to drive performance and capability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with business goals.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other external stakeholders

Preferred candidate profile

- Qualification: MBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CMA Inter qualified, with a strong accounting and financial reporting background.
- 4+ years of experience is required with at least 23 years in a Controller/Manager role
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Hands-on experience in cash flow management, working capital, and cost optimization.
- Experience in Zoho books/Tally is an added advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced promoter-driven workplace.
