- Conduct scheduled and surprise store audits.
- Verify cash handling, billing accuracy, refunds, voids, and discount approvals.
- Validate daily sales reconciliation and petty cash records.
- Identify exceptions and document findings with supporting evidence.
Inventory & Stock Verification
- Perform physical stock checks for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Compare physical stock with system stock and highlight variances.
- Validate Ideal vs Actual consumption and escalate abnormal deviations.
- Check for negative stock, delayed GRNs, and incorrect stock postings.
SOP & Compliance Checks
- Ensure adherence to finance and operations SOPs at store level.
- Verify GRN process, invoice matching, and vendor documentation.
- Check compliance related to discontinued SKUs, credit notes, and restricted access.
- Support validation of BOM usage and operational controls.
Loss Prevention Support
- Identify revenue leakages such as:
- Menu items marked unavailable despite stock
- Unauthorized discounts
- Pricing mismatches
- Highlight recurring gaps and assist in corrective actions.
Reporting & Follow-up
- Prepare audit reports with compliance scores and risk classification.
- Share findings with store managers and explain observations clearly.
- Track closure of previous audit findings.
- Support in consolidation of regional audit reports.
Investigation Support
- Assist in basic transaction reviews when discrepancies are identified.
- Support senior team members in data verification and evidence collection.
Preferred candidate profile
- 1-3 years of experience in internal audit, retail audit, QSR audit, or operations audit.
- Freshers with strong analytical skills and internship exposure in audit may also apply.
- Basic understanding of inventory and cash controls
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Strong observation and analytical skills
- Transparent written and verbal communication
- Willingness to travel frequently within region
