About the Role
DriveTech Intelligence is seeking an Automotive E&E; Program Manager to own end-to-end Electrical & Electronics program delivery for OEM vehicle programs. This is a program-management-first role: the successful candidate will plan, drive, and control E&E; deliverables from prototype through Start of Production (SOP), holding cross-functional teams accountable to milestones, managing risk and change, and serving as the primary point of coordination between engineering, validation, and OEM client teams orchestrating the program to land on quality, cost, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Program Ownership & Delivery
Own end-to-end E&E; program activities across the full product development lifecycle, ensuring on-time, on-quality delivery of all milestones and deliverables.
Build and maintain program schedules, track deliverables against gate criteria, and drive the program through each phase to a successful SOP.
¢ Act as the E&E; Pilot for prototype, mule, and pre-production builds planning component readiness, sequencing build activities, and steering the program through launch.
¢ Chair technical reviews and issue-resolution meetings, keeping actions, owners, and timelines visible and closed.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Management
¢ Coordinate hardware, software, and validation teams to align on milestones, dependencies, and issue closure.
¢ Serve as the central communication link between internal engineering teams and OEM client stakeholders, maintaining proactive, decision-ready updates.
¢ Facilitate alignment across geographically and organizationally distributed teams, resolving blockers and escalating risks early.
Change & Configuration Management (APQP / PLM)
¢ Lead APQP activities and administer PLM processes across the E&E; scope.
¢ Own Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) end to end, and perform BOM validation to maintain configuration integrity and disciplined change control.
¢ Ensure every change is properly assessed, documented, and reflected across program deliverables.
Risk, Reporting & Launch Readiness
¢ Monitor program risks, schedules, and open issues, driving mitigation plans and keeping the program on track.
¢ Prepare and present program-status, validation, and issue-tracking reports; monitor E&E; KPIs to signal readiness and surface concerns to leadership.
¢ Support regulatory compliance and investigation bulletin analysis to confirm product readiness ahead of production.
¢ Coordinate validation and End-of-Line (EOL) status tracking to confirm the program is launch-ready, partnering with technical teams on resolution.
Required Qualifications
¢ Bachelors degree in Automobile,
Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (Masters in Automotive Electronics or a related field preferred).
¢ 35 years of experience in automotive E&E; program management.
¢ Working knowledge of APQP, PLM, and ECR/ECO change-management processes, including BOM validation.
¢ Demonstrated ownership of programs from prototype through SOP, with a strong track record on schedule and quality.
¢ Strong risk-management, planning, and issue-resolution capability. Eager to learn current things.
¢ Excellent cross-functional coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
¢ Willing to travel & work between corporate HQ (Chennai, Thoraipakkam) and plant (Tiruvallur) multiple times a week during project SOP stages
Preferred Skills
¢ Experience within OEM program environments (Stellantis, Mahindra, or equivalent).
¢ Familiarity with vehicle E&E; system architecture sufficient to lead technical trade-off discussions.
¢ Working awareness of validation, diagnostics, and EOL processes, sufficient to coordinate technical teams effectively.
¢ Strong data-handling and reporting skills (e.g., advanced Excel) for program tracking and KPI reporting.

¢ Clean configuration and change management, with validated BOMs and fully traceable ECR/ECO.
¢ Risks identified early and mitigated before they impact the launch timeline.
