About the Role

Neo Sun Industries Ltd is looking for an experienced Procurement / Purchase Manager to lead sourcing and supply management of critical raw materials for our packaging operations—specifically tinplate, polymers, injection-moulded components, and other consumables.

This role is central to ensuring consistent material quality, cost control, and uninterrupted production across metal and plastic packaging lines. The ideal candidate will have strong on-ground experience with these materials, supplier ecosystems, and pricing dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Raw Material Procurement

- Manage procurement of the raw materials and consumables required in the manufacturing process
- Ensure timely availability aligned with production schedules
- Coordinate closely with planning and production teams to avoid downtime

2. Vendor Sourcing & Development

- Coordinate stock of raw materials as per requirements
- Build and maintain a strong supplier base across mills, distributors, and processors
- Evaluate vendors on pricing, quality consistency, and delivery reliability
- Drive alternate vendor development to reduce dependency risks

3. Cost Management & Negotiation

- Track commodity trends and anticipate price movements
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers
- Optimize landed cost including logistics, freight, and duties
- Continuously identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising specifications

4. Quality & Technical Coordination

- Ensure all materials meet required technical specifications (thickness, coating, GSM, MFI, etc.)
- Work with QA/QC teams for approvals, trials, and issue resolution




- Coordinate with production teams for material suitability in blow moulding and injection moulding processes

5. Inventory Planning & Control

- Monitor stock levels of critical materials and maintain optimal inventory
- Align procurement with production plans, order pipeline, and consumption trends
- Minimize stockouts as well as excess/slow-moving inventory

6. Documentation, Systems & MIS

- Manage purchase orders, GRNs, and supplier documentation
- Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor databases
- Generate MIS reports on pricing trends, vendor performance, and inventory
- Work with ERP / Tally / Excel systems for tracking and reporting

Key Requirements

- 4–8 years of procurement experience in metal packaging, plastics, or manufacturing industries
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Tinplate / steel sourcing
- Polymer procurement (HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PP, and other polymer materials)
- Injection moulding and blow moulding material requirements
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills
- Understanding of commodity-driven pricing and supply volatility
- Experience in inventory planning and cross-functional coordination
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP/Tally systems
- High ownership, attention to detail, and execution focus

Preferred Profile

- Prior experience in tin container manufacturing, plastic packaging, or allied sectors
- Existing supplier network across steel mills, polymer distributors, and moulding vendors
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, operations-heavy environment
