Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Administration
- Manage end-to-end HR functions including manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, employee life cycle management, and exit processes.
- Maintain accurate employee data, attendance, leave, and shift records through HRMS (preferably Spine HR).
- Supervise payroll processing and ensure accurate calculation of salary, overtime, deductions, and statutory contributions.
- Implement and monitor HR policies, SOPs, and discipline across all levels.
- Manage canteen, transport, uniform, and other employee facilities effectively.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Develop and execute annual manpower planning in coordination with department heads.
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for shop-floor, technical, and managerial positions.
- Collaborate with local institutes, training centers, and placement agencies to build a skilled talent pipeline.
- Drive initiatives to reduce hiring lead time and improve retention of key talent.
3. Employee Relations & Welfare
- Act as a bridge between management and employees to maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and counselling sessions in compliance with company policy and labor laws.
- Organize employee engagement, welfare, and communication programs to boost morale and productivity.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, transparency, and mutual respect across all levels.
4. Statutory Compliance & Legal Management
- Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable labor laws and factory regulations (PF, ESI, Bonus Act, Gratuity, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages Act, Shops & Establishment Act, Factory Act, etc.).
- Supervise PF/ESI registration, returns, inspections, and monthly contributions.
- Maintain statutory registers, returns, and audit-ready documentation.
- Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and legal advisors for inspections and dispute resolution.
- Manage vendor/contractor compliance and ensure adherence to statutory and company requirements.
5. Performance Management & Training
- Implement and monitor the Performance Management System (PMS) goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews.
- Coordinate skill development, technical, and behavioral training programs based on TNI (Training Need Identification).
- Support leadership and succession development programs.
- Track training effectiveness and maintain records as per audit and compliance standards.
6. HR Strategy, Planning & MIS
- Align HR initiatives with business objectives to support growth and operational excellence.
- Drive organizational development initiatives productivity improvement, retention strategy, and HR process automation.
- Prepare and present HR dashboards, analytics, and MIS reports to management.
- Contribute to HR budgeting, manpower cost analysis, and strategic HR planning.
7. Safety, Health & Work Environment
- Collaborate with the EHS team to ensure a safe and compliant work setting.
- Conduct safety awareness programs and promote workplace hygiene and wellness initiatives.
- Support ISO and audit teams in HR-related documentation and compliance.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Proven track record of managing HR operations for a workforce of 1800+ employees in a manufacturing setup.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Deep understanding of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance, and factory-related regulations.
- Technically proficient in HRMS/Payroll software (Spine HR preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure with high integrity and professionalism.
