Position: Lead Factory Logistics & Warehouse Operations

Function: Manufacturing Operations
Team Size (Direct & Indirect Reportees): 3-5
Role Purpose:
Lead end-to-end factory warehouse and logistics operations for the AMTZ manufacturing
facility. Own inbound logistics, finished goods warehousing, outbound distribution,
inventory governance, reverse logistics, refurbishment, repair logistics, demo asset
management, cold chain operations, and compliant disposal of obsolete assets. Build
scalable, digitally enabled operations that support manufacturing and customer fulfilment.
Key Responsibilities & Scope
Factory Warehouse & Logistics Leadership
• Lead and manage end-to-end factory warehouse and logistics operations at the AMTZ
manufacturing facility.
• Establish a safe, compliant, effective and scalable warehouse operation supporting
current and future business growth.
• Serve as the single point of accountability for all warehouse, logistics and inventory
operations reporting directly to the COO.
Instrument Operations
• Own the complete lifecycle management of instruments within the factory warehouse.
• Manage receipt, inspection, verification, GRN and storage of locally manufactured,
imported and traded instruments.
• Ensure accurate serial number capture, inventory control and traceability.
• Manage customer dispatches, transfers to CFAs and regional warehouses, and export
shipments where applicable.
• Lead demo instrument issuance, returns and inventory management.
• Oversee reverse logistics including customer returns, verification, repacking,
refurbishment, repair coordination with TSD, cannibalisation and final disposal of
obsolete assets.
Reagent Operations
• Manage receipt, inspection, storage and inventory of locally manufactured and imported
reagents.
• Lead relabelling operations for imported products in compliance with regulatory
requirements.
• Ensure FEFO, batch traceability,
shelf-life management and inventory accuracy.
• Manage cold chain storage, handling and transportation to maintain product integrity.
• Execute customer deliveries and replenishment to CFA and regional warehouses.
Inventory Governance
• Maintain 100% inventory accuracy across instruments, reagents, spares and
accessories.
• Drive robust inventory controls through cycle counting, physical verification and
reconciliation.
• Ensure complete batch and serial number traceability.
• Monitor inventory ageing, expiry, slow-moving and obsolete inventory, and implement
corrective actions.
Inbound & Outbound Logistics
• Manage all inbound receipts from suppliers, manufacturing and imports.
• Plan and execute outbound dispatches to customers, CFAs, regional warehouses and
other business locations.
• Optimise transportation modes, vehicle utilisation and freight costs while ensuring
service excellence.
• Manage logistics partners, transporters and warehouse service providers.
Warehouse Operations Excellence
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all warehouse and logistics
activities.
• Drive warehouse productivity, space utilisation and operational efficiency through Lean
and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead warehouse automation, WMS implementation, barcode scanning and digitalisation
initiatives.
• Build real-time operational dashboards and performance reporting.
Manufacturing & Cross-Functional Coordination
• Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, TSD,
Finance and Customer Service to ensure seamless material flow.
• Support production schedules through timely material availability and finished goods
dispatch.
• Ensure rapid response to business priorities, customer commitments and emergency
requirements.
Quality, Compliance & Safety
• Ensure compliance with GDP, GMP, ISO, regulatory and company quality standards.
• Maintain audit readiness for internal, customer and regulatory inspections.
• Drive EHS compliance and promote a zero-harm culture across warehouse and logistics
operations.
• Ensure adherence to statutory requirements related to storage, transportation and
disposal of regulated products.
Financial & Vendor Management
• Prepare and manage warehouse and logistics budgets.
• Drive continuous cost optimisation across warehousing and transportation.
• Develop strategic partnerships with logistics service providers and monitor vendor
performance through defined KPIs and service level agreements.
People Leadership
• Build, develop and lead a high-performing warehouse and logistics organisation.
• Define performance objectives, develop capabilities and succession plans, and foster a
culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Lead change management initiatives supporting operational excellence and business
transformation.
Candidate Profile
• Engineering graduate; MBA in Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
• 9 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing logistics and warehouse operations.
• Experience in Medical Devices, IVD, Pharmaceuticals or other regulated industries.
• Strong Oracle/WMS, inventory governance and leadership capability.
