QCA Manager will be responsible for optimizing renewable energy generation schedules, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, coordinating dispatch activities, and minimizing DSM (ps/KWh) impact. The role focuses on maximizing net revenue by efficiently managing scheduling operations and coordinating energy dispatch to meet operational and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities of Role
Regulatory Adherence and Compliance: Ensure that all power generation schedules strictly adhere to regional and national regulations by conducting periodic compliance audits, submitting accurate schedules, and preparing detailed reports on regulatory compliance. Maintain active communication with regulatory authorities to swiftly implement updates and manage commercial settlements of deviation charges as per regulations. Oversee the update of AvC in REMC for LTA and STOA, ensuring compliance and accurate submissions. Practice safety protocols and observe the ten Life-Saving Safety Rules (LSSR) during site visits. Strategic Energy Allocation: Develop and implement scheduling strategies that optimize energy resource allocation based on historical performance and real-time data. Oversee dynamic adjustments to schedules, sharing revisions with stakeholders, and ensuring coordination across pooling stations for accurate scheduling and efficient resource management. Ensure updates of LTA and DA schedules, including intra-day revisions in REMC, and coordinate AvC, DA schedules for bilateral transactions. Support optimizing revenue by utilizing in-house forecasting and scheduling and employing strategies in merchant plants.
Data-Driven Scheduling Optimization: Supervise the refinement of power generation schedules using data analysis from historical and real-time operational data. Ensure data-driven adjustments are incorporated to enhance efficiency and scheduling accuracy. Analyze deviations in generation from forecasts, implement lessons learned in future scheduling to minimize losses. Assisting QCA team in identifying schedule deviations at Solar, Wind & Hybrid sites and coordinating with scheduling agencies to realign the schedule accordingly. Minimizing DSM (ps/KWh) Impact: Oversee scheduling strategies that dynamically respond to high deviation to minimize DSM and revenue loss. Monitor real-time data, coordinate with plants, and implement corrective measures to balance energy generation schedules, reducing DSM impacts and achieving an RTM gain target. Minimize upper penalty band by leveraging excess quantum in RTM and reducing its impact. Exploring strategies to minimize DSM and revenue losses through accurate forecasting and scheduling.
