About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Rigging Artist who is eager to build production-ready character rigs for animated films and series. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of character rigging, skinning, deformation, and be comfortable working with Unreal Engine for importing, testing, and rendering assets.
Responsibilities
Create clean and efficient character rigs for stylized characters.
Perform skinning and weight painting for smooth deformations.
Develop facial and body controls suitable for animation.
Import and test rigs in Unreal Engine.
Render scenes and character turntables using Unreal Engine.
Work closely with modelers and animators to improve rig performance.
Troubleshoot rigging and deformation issues.
Ensure rigs are optimized for real-time performance.
Requirements
Positive understanding of rigging fundamentals.
Knowledge of skeletal hierarchies, constraints, IK/FK systems, and controllers.
Experience with Blender or Maya for rigging.
Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine workflow.
Ability to render scenes in Unreal Engine.
Understanding of skinning and deformation techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
Portfolio or demo reel showcasing rigging work (academic or personal projects are welcome).
