Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer / AutoCAD Draftsman to prepare detailed engineering drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, manufacturing drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) for industrial valves and related equipment. The candidate should have strong knowledge of AutoCAD, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes.

- Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings using AutoCAD.
- Revise and update drawings based on customer comments and internal design changes.
- Prepare detailed part drawings with dimensions, tolerances, machining allowances, and material specifications.
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) for manufacturing and procurement.
- Prepare cross-sectional and exploded assembly drawings.
- Maintain drawing revision records and document control.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Purchase, and Sales departments for design-related activities.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and customer specifications.
- Prepare machining and fabrication drawings for shop floor use.
- Assist in developing new valve designs and improving existing products.
- Support technical documentation, QAPs, data sheets, and customer drawing submissions.
- Maintain drawing database and backup of engineering documents.




- Required QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0-2 years of experience in mechanical drafting/design.
- Freshers with excellent AutoCAD skills may also apply.
- Required SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD (2D); knowledge of AutoCAD Mechanical is preferred.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, Inventor, or other 3D CAD software is an advantage.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, casting, and assembly practices.
- Familiarity with industrial valves (Gate, Globe, Check, Ball, Butterfly) is preferred.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and engineering standards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
