Role & ResponsibilitiesThe Cluster Head - ROW will lead all Right of Way, stakeholder engagement, government liaison, farmer relations, and issue resolution activities for renewable energy projects. The role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted site access, resolving critical stakeholder issues, securing statutory permissions, and supporting timely project execution.
Strategic ROW Management: Develop and implement ROW strategy for Solar, Wind, Hybrid and Transmission projects. Ensure land access availability as per project timelines. Drive issue resolution framework across project locations. Monitor ROW risks and mitigation plans.
Stakeholder & Community Management: Build strong relationships with farmers, landowners, village representatives, local influencers and communities. Lead community engagement programs. Address sensitive social and political issues. Create long-term stakeholder acceptance for projects.
Government Liaison: Liaise with District Administration, Revenue Department, Police, Panchayat, Forest, Energy and Regulatory Authorities.
Facilitate statutory approvals, permissions and NOCs. Represent the company before government agencies.
Farmer Relations & Negotiation : Lead compensation, access and project-related negotiations. Resolve major disputes and escalations. Ensure transparent engagement with affected stakeholders.
Project Coordination: Work closely with Land Acquisition, Legal, Engineering, EPC, Construction and HSE teams. Ensure ROW readiness aligns with project schedules.
Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, including project development, engineering and finance, to ensure seamless integration of land acquisitions into project timelines.
Reporting: Provide regular reports to EVP on land acquisition progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to optimize land acquisition processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiencyExperience Requirements
- 12-20+ years of experience in ROW, Land Acquisition, Stakeholder Management or Government Liaison.
- Preference for Renewable Energy, Transmission, Infrastructure or Power sector.
- Experience in handling multi-location projects.
Education and skill set required
- Any Graduate
- Must Skills - Excellent communication (English, Hindi, Kannada), negotiation, problem solving, dispute resolving, liaison skills
- Flexible travel effective relationship with LFs, landowners and local authorities
- General knowledge of local and state government practices Well-developed knowledge of local language, culture, customs and practices in the community, Land acquisition Acts, land approval processes, legal DD, renewable project permits, etc
