Role & responsibilities

Software escrow requires a deep understanding of complex codebases. We've built an AI-powered platform that accelerates this process by analysing source code, discovering services and dependencies, generating architecture diagrams, and creating deployment artefacts such as Dockerfiles, Jenkinsfiles, Kubernetes manifests, and supporting infrastructure configurations.

In this role, you will validate and refine the platform's outputs, engage with clients or software vendors to bridge knowledge gaps, and deliver a comprehensive recoverability assessment and certified runbook. While the platform automates a significant portion of the analysis, your technical expertise and judgment will be critical in ensuring accuracy and recoverability.

About the role

What you will actually do

- Run deposits through the discovery pipeline and use the platforms Project Memory and diagrams to quickly understand the application.
- Review the automatically generated artefacts primarily Dockerfiles, Jenkinsfiles and Kubernetes manifests and edit them whenever they are incomplete or incorrect.
- Work with the Infrastructure section of the platform: select the right Helm charts, adjust values, and make sure configuration for third-party services (Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, DynamoDB, RabbitMQ, AWS S3, etc.) is correct before deployment.
- Use the Tacit Knowledge Graph to ask the client or vendor precise questions, capture their answers, and turn that knowledge into verified project understanding.
- Look at the auto-generated architecture diagrams (high-level architecture, service communication flows, third-party integrations) and confirm they match reality.
- When something stalls or the generated files need fixing, step in with practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and Terraform-style configuration.




- Produce the final recoverability report in your own words — the document that carries the real confidence stamp for the client.

Who this role is for

You already know how to look inside other people’s systems and make them rebuildable. You may come from software escrow, DevOps consultancy, or platform/SRE work.

You do not need to be an AI researcher. You do need to be comfortable using an AI-assisted platform, reading its outputs critically, and fixing the parts that matter (especially container and Kubernetes artefacts).

Essential experience and skills

- Hands-on ability to read, write and correct Dockerfiles, Jenkinsfiles and Kubernetes manifests / Helm values.
- Practical understanding of common third-party services at configuration level — how Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, DynamoDB, RabbitMQ, object storage, etc. are typically configured and what usually goes wrong.
- Experience working with microservices architectures and the ability to validate service-to-service communication and dependency maps.
- Clear written communication — you will own the final recoverability report that the client relies on.
- Comfort coordinating with external parties (clients or software vendors) to extract missing technical knowledge.

Helpful but not mandatory

- Previous software escrow or source-code verification work.
- Familiarity with Terraform or cloud-managed service configuration.
- Experience with mobile or desktop application packaging (the minority of workloads).

Why this role feels different

The platform removes most of the slow, repetitive discovery work. What remains is the part that actually requires judgment: deciding whether the generated artefacts are good enough, fixing them when they are not, filling knowledge gaps with the client or vendor, and finally putting your name on a recoverability statement that people can trust.
