Job Description – Civil Site Engineer

Reports To: Director – Operations & Projects / Founder & Chairman
About the Role
Magic District is looking for a proactive and hands-on Civil Site Engineer to oversee the execution of construction and fit-out works for our entertainment attractions. The role requires managing daily site activities, coordinating contractors and workers, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, maintaining quality standards, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations.
This is a field-intensive role that requires solid leadership, planning, problem-solving, and execution skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Execution & Project Management
Supervise all civil and interior works at project sites.
Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, designs, and specifications.
Monitor project progress and ensure completion within the committed timeline.
Coordinate with architects, designers, consultants, and vendors.
Plan daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules.
2. Workforce Management
Lead and supervise daily site workers including:
Carpenters
Painters
Electricians
Welders
Fabricators
Plumbers
Helpers
Contractors and subcontractors
Assign daily work targets.
Monitor attendance and productivity of labour.
Ensure proper coordination between different trades.
Resolve in office issues quickly to avoid delays.
3. Quality Control
Inspect workmanship at every stage.
Ensure high-quality finishing of all civil, electrical, painting, carpentry, and interior works.
Identify defects and ensure immediate rectification.
Maintain Magic District quality standards.
4. Site Operations
Ensure smooth daily operations at the site.
Verify availability of materials before work begins.
Coordinate procurement requirements with the purchase team.
Maintain proper housekeeping and site cleanliness.
Ensure uninterrupted workflow.
5. Planning & Scheduling
Prepare daily execution plans.
Track project milestones.
Identify delays and prepare recovery plans.
Coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
6. Material Management
Monitor material consumption.
Prevent wastage of materials.
Verify delivered quantities and quality.
Maintain stock records for site materials.
Coordinate timely procurement of required materials.
7. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
Coordinate with contractors and suppliers.
Follow up on deliveries.
Verify completed work before approving contractor bills.
Ensure vendors meet deadlines and quality expectations.
8. Health & Safety
Ensure workers follow all safety procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections.
Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Report unsafe practices immediately.
Maintain accident-free work sites.
9. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
Maintain labour attendance records.
Record material consumption.
Prepare weekly project status reports.
Maintain site photographs and documentation.
Report project updates to management.
10. Coordination with Operations Team
Coordinate project activities with the Operations Team to minimize disruption.
Ensure attraction installations are completed on time.
Assist during attraction setup, testing, and commissioning.
Support maintenance requirements after project completion.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of civil construction and interior execution.
Experience managing multiple contractors and labour teams.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, electrical, and interior drawings.
Excellent planning and scheduling skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to solve site issues independently.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Knowledge of construction safety practices.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
3–8 years of experience in construction, interior fit-outs, retail projects, malls, theme parks, entertainment venues, or commercial projects.
Experience handling multiple teams and contractors is preferred.
