- Job Title:
- Business Development Manager – Land Acquisition & Liaison (Industrial/Manufacturing)

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu

- Role Overview:
- The Business Development Manager will lead land acquisition initiatives and government liaison activities for large-scale industrial and manufacturing projects. This role acts as a strategic point of contact between the company, landowners, government bodies, and investors, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of land parcels while navigating complex regulatory environments.
- - Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential land parcels for industrial and manufacturing facility development through market research, networking, and direct outreach.
- Manage end-to-end land acquisition process including site assessment, valuation, negotiations, and deal closure.
- Liaise with local government authorities (revenue, planning, and zoning, environmental, fire safety) to secure necessary approvals, permits, and regulatory compliances.
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, consultants, and institutional investors to support acquisition pipelines.




- Coordinate due diligence processes including land title verification, revenue records examination, physical surveys, and technical feasibility studies.
- Support legal teams for documentation, contract management, and registration.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide regular reporting on acquisition progress, market trends, and risk factors to senior management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and legal teams to align acquisition strategy with project timelines and budgets.
- Represent the company in government forums and industry bodies to advocate interest and facilitate smooth project approvals.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the company’s industrial land portfolio in key growth corridors.

- Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate business development, or government liaison preferably in industrial/manufacturing domains.
- Solid understanding of land laws, revenue procedures, and regulatory landscape in Tamil Nadu and India.
- Demonstrated negotiation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in financial modelling, market research, and project management tools.
- Ability to work independently with a problem-solving mindset and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
