Job Title: MEP Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and proactive MEP Engineer to manage the operation, maintenance, and reliability of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems at a prestigious school in Lower Parel. The role involves ensuring secure, efficient, and uninterrupted functioning of the campus infrastructure while maintaining compliance with statutory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the operation and preventive maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and utility systems.
- Ensure smooth functioning of DG sets, transformers, LT/HT panels, UPS, pumps, water supply, and sewage systems.
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all MEP equipment.
- Coordinate with AMC vendors and contractors for routine servicing and breakdown maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Monitor utility consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, checklists, and statutory documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and statutory requirements.




- Support school operations by ensuring uninterrupted utility services during academic hours and special events.
- Coordinate with the school administration for planned maintenance and infrastructure improvements.
- Attend emergency breakdowns and ensure minimal disruption to school operations.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 38 years of relevant experience in MEP maintenance or facilities management.
- Experience in schools, hospitals, commercial buildings, or institutional facilities is preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting Systems, DG Sets, UPS, Pumps, and Building Utilities.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning and vendor management.
- Ability to read MEP drawings and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of BMS and AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
