Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CA ESP Monitoring/Scheduling & Data Transmission

Engineer with in enterprise workload automation, job scheduling, and managed file

transfer solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in CA ESP

Scheduler, IBM Sterling File Gateway, and Connect:Direct, with experience in

monitoring critical batch jobs, troubleshooting file transfer issues, and ensuring

seamless data transmission across enterprise platforms.

The role requires strong operational support skills, incident management experience,

and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a 24x7 production support

workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Job Scheduling & Monitoring

• Monitor and manage enterprise batch processing using CA ESP Scheduler.

• Create, modify, and maintain scheduling jobs, calendars, dependencies, and

workflows.

• Monitor production jobs and ensure timely completion of batch cycles.

• Analyze and resolve job failures and scheduling issues.

• Coordinate with application and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.

Data Transmission & File Transfer

• Configure, monitor, and support file transfers using IBM Sterling File Gateway

and Connect:Direct.





• Manage secure data exchange between internal and external business partners.

• Troubleshoot file transfer failures, transmission delays, and connectivity issues.

• Monitor file movement processes and ensure SLA compliance.

• Support onboarding of new trading partners and file transfer configurations.

Production Support

• Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and recurring issues.

• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.

• Ensure high availability and reliability of scheduling and file transfer

environments.

• Create and maintain operational runbooks and support documentation.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational activities.

• Enhance monitoring capabilities and alert management processes.

• Implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and

reliability.

• Recommend best practices for workload automation and managed file transfer

solutions.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain job scheduling and file transfer documentation.

• Generate operational reports and dashboards.

• Document incident resolutions, process changes, and system configurations.
