We are looking for a passionate and qualified New Product Development Manager with a strong background in Nutrition to lead product innovation and support our growth journey.

Job Summary

The New Product Development Manager will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, testing, and launching innovative food products while ensuring nutritional integrity, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and commercial viability. The role requires close collaboration with Operations, Procurement, Marketing, Quality, and Production teams.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Innovation

- Develop and launch new food and beverage products aligned with company objectives and consumer trends.
- Research market trends, ingredients, nutrition advancements, and competitor products.
- Create product formulations, recipes, and nutritional profiles.
- Conduct product trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies.
- Improve existing products for taste, nutrition, cost optimisation, and operational efficiency.

Nutrition & Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure products meet nutritional targets and health-focused positioning.
- Prepare nutritional analysis and ingredient specifications.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations and food safety standards.
- Review product labels, claims, and nutritional declarations.

Project Management

- Manage the end-to-end NPD process from concept to commercialisation.




- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Maintain project timelines, budgets, and development milestones.
- Prepare product documentation, SOPs, and technical reports.

Vendor & Ingredient Management

- Identify and evaluate new ingredients and suppliers.
- Work with procurement teams to source innovative and cost-effective ingredients.
- Conduct ingredient trials and performance assessments.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

- Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to maintain product consistency.
- Analyze consumer feedback and recommend product improvements.
- Drive continuous innovation within the product portfolio.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Food Technology, Dietetics, or related field.
- Certification in Nutrition or Dietetics preferred.
- Knowledge of FSSAI regulations, food safety standards, and nutritional labelling requirements.

Experience

- 5-8 years of experience in Food Product Development, R&D;, or Nutrition-focused food businesses.
- Experience in healthy food, bakery, caf, QSR, functional foods, or packaged food industries preferred.
- Proven track record of successful product launches.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of nutrition science and food formulation.
- Excellent project management and analytical skills.
- Understanding of ingredient functionality and food processing techniques.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
