- Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Main Receiving Substation (MRSS) and HT/LT electrical distribution systems.
- Monitor and maintain transformers, VCBs, ACBs, switchgear, busbars, isolators, and protection relays.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Carry out operation and maintenance of 11kV/33kV/66kV/132kV substations as applicable.
- Monitor power quality, power factor, load balancing, and energy consumption.
- Operate capacitor banks, DG sets, battery chargers, UPS systems, and emergency power systems.
- Attend electrical faults and restore power with minimum downtime.
- Perform relay testing, insulation resistance testing, earth resistance testing, and thermography.
- Maintain MCCs, PCCs, HT/LT panels, motors, cables, and control systems.




- Coordinate planned shutdowns and electrical isolation using LOTO procedures.
- Maintain daily logbooks, equipment history, and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and permit-to-work systems.
- Coordinate with electricity board/utilities during outages and maintenance activities.
- Support commissioning of recent electrical equipment and plant expansions.
- Maintain electrical drawings, SLDs, and preventive maintenance schedules. These responsibilities are consistent with common MRSS operations in industrial facilities.
