- Perform venous and capillary blood collection for patients of all age groups.
- Conduct home blood sample collection as per assigned schedule.
- Verify patient identity and test requisition forms before sample collection.
- Label, pack, and transport specimens according to laboratory protocols.
- Ensure proper sample collection, storage, and timely dispatch to the laboratory.
- Maintain complete documentation and enter patient details accurately in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Follow infection control, biomedical waste management, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of the sample collection area.
- Monitor stock of collection materials (vacutainers, needles, syringes, gloves, etc.) and report shortages.
- Coordinate with laboratory technicians and customer support for smooth sample processing.
- Handle patients professionally and address their concerns with empathy.
- Ensure zero sample rejection due to collection or labeling errors.
- Follow NABL guidelines, internal SOPs, and quality control procedures.
- Assist in corporate health camps, health check-up programs, and community screening events as required.
- Required QualificationsDMLT / MLT / Certificate or Diploma in Phlebotomy.
- 1–3 years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory or hospital.
- Freshers with excellent practical skills may also apply.
- Required SkillsExpertise in venipuncture and capillary blood collection.
- Knowledge of specimen handling and transportation.
- Familiarity with NABL standards and laboratory SOPs.
- Basic computer knowledge and experience using LIS software.
- Valuable communication and patient-handling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Additional RequirementsWillingness to travel for home sample collections.
- Two-wheeler with a valid driving license is preferred.
- Flexible to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Accurate patient identification and specimen labeling.
- Minimal sample rejection or recollection rate.
- Timely completion of home collection visits.
- High patient satisfaction.
- Compliance with NABL quality standards and infection control practices.
