Role Responsibilities 1 Execution of Routine Preventive Breakdown maintenance of port equipment 2 Routine inspections on equipments and corrective actions thereafter 3 Attend to breakdowns and fault diagnosis and correction on equipments 4 Reporting of jobs after completion 5 Undertake any specific task responsibility assigned by Sr Executives 6 Assist the Asst Manager Sr Executives in managing the shift when required 7 Ensure that the company health safety setting policy and procedures are observed 8 Report on any unsafe conditions in the Terminal or area of work 9 Contribute to the continuous improvement process and to the meeting of relevant objectives and targets 10 Observe the provisions of IGT s management system 11 House keeping in work place Equipment 12 In the absence of Asst Manager Sr Executive take the responsibility of Asst Manager Sr Executive when informed by higher authorities 13 Ensure recording of the jobs manpower and equipment status in the shift logbook Verify job reports submitted by the shift staff 14 Ensure compliance and implement OH S Rules and Regulations Hazard and Risk Management Accident Reports IGT s Standard Operating Procedures Work permits Qualification Competencies a BE B Tech in Mechanical or Diploma in Mechanical with relevant experience b In case of BE B Tech at least 3 years relevant experience in heavy lift equipments container handling equipments in case of Diploma holders at least 7 years of relevant experience Work permits
