An Operating Theatre OT Staff Nurse prepares patients equipment and the operating room for surgery maintains strict aseptic techniques and assists surgeons anaesthetists during procedures They ensure patient safety monitor vital signs and provide post-operative care This role demands at minimum a Diploma in Nursing BSc preferred 2 years experience and proficiency in surgical procedures Key Responsibilities Pre-operative Care Preparing the patient checking medical records and ensuring the operating room is sterile and stocked with necessary equipment Intra-operative Support Acting as a scrub or circulating nurse passing instruments to surgeons and assisting with procedures Monitoring Safety Checking vital signs ensuring patient safety and managing the sterile field to prevent infections Documentation Accurately recording nursing care surgical counts instruments needles and patient data Post-operative Care Transferring patients to the recovery room and monitoring their initial post-surgery recovery Teamwork Liaising with the multidisciplinary team including surgeons and anaesthetists Requirements Education BSc or Diploma in Nursing Experience Proven 2 years of experience as an operating room nurse Skills Proficiency in sterile techniques strong organizational skills and high emotional physical stamina Job Types Full time Permanent Pay 25 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Work Location In person
