Job Overview The Associate Civil Structural Designer is an entry-level position and their work is completed with close supervision and support They work within clearly defined standard operating procedures and or scientific methods and adhere to quality guidelines The Associate Civil Structural Designer should have basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process and appropriate licenses training certifications Lutech Resources has over 25 years experience providing tailor made recruitment and integrated resource management to leading Engineering Energy and Manufacturing sector companies worldwide We set ourselves apart from others in the industry by building long term relationships with both our clients and candidates based on a mutual understanding of their targeted industry and a passion for excellence With every engagement our goal is to quickly place qualified talent with the best suited employer We have a genuine understanding of candidates and clients needs Along with a energetic and effective service we strive for positive outcomes for everyone every time Key Tasks and Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of detail drawings and deliverables of high technical quality and consistent presentation ensuring clarity and ease of construction Gain experience in the following work areas Design 2D drafting 3D drafting and or model creation Develop basic technical skills to complete assigned work Become fully familiar with the Project Scope of Work specifications schedule and inter-discipline requirements including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address them Prepare Civil and Structural layouts from data generated by others in close liaison with Civil and Structural Engineers and counterparts from other disciplines Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with McDermott requirements Client and Statutory Design Codes Standards or Procedures with a particular focus on Health and Safety Policies Develop 3D Models Provide drafting support as required Reports to Project Lead Designer Lead Engineer Functional Supervising Department Manager Liaise With Designers Senior Designers Essential Qualifications and Education High School graduate with a diploma in Civil or Structural disciplines or equivalent experience Entry level to less than 3 years drafting and or design Knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and or MicroStation drafting systems and other drafting software Basis of E3D and or S3D Familiarity with 3D design systems E3D or S3D would be an advantage Proactive and willing to learn Flexible for business traveling assignments LI-VA1
