Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PGT English teacher to join our educational team The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive English curriculum that fosters critical thinking creativity and literacy skills among students This role requires solid communication and organizational skills as well as a commitment to mentoring and supporting students in their academic journey Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student learning Utilize various teaching methodologies including instructional design and learning technology to enhance classroom experiences Foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies Assess student progress through standardized testing tutoring and individualized feedback Provide mentorship and academic advising to students helping them navigate their educational paths Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development including the integration of creative writing and journalism components Maintain accurate records of student performance and participation in library services or special education programs as needed Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in literacy education and higher education teaching Qualifications Bachelor s degree in English Education or a related field advanced degree preferred Experience working with students in a classroom setting preferably in private schools or Montessori environments Strong writing skills with proficiency in AP style Chicago Manual of Style copy editing proofreading and research methodologies Familiarity with linguistics and literacy education principles is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to effectively manage classrooms and support diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students parents and colleagues Robust organizational skills for lesson planning curriculum development and administration tasks related to education management Previous experience in mentoring or tutoring roles is an asset Join us in shaping the future of our students through cutting-edge teaching practices and a commitment to excellence in education Job Type Full-time Pay 25 000 00 - 28 000 00 per month Work Location In person
