Join us as a Software Engineer This is an chance for a driven Software Engineer to take on an exciting new career challenge Day-to-day you ll build a wide network of stakeholders of varying levels of seniority It s a chance to hone your existing technical skills and advance your career We re offering this role at associate vice president level What you ll do In your new role you ll engineer and maintain innovative customer centric high performance secure and robust solutions You ll be working within a feature team and using your extensive experience to engineer software scripts and tools that are often complex as well as liaising with other engineers architects and business analysts across the platform You ll also be Producing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business Working in permanent teams who are responsible for the full life cycle from initial development through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning Collaborating to optimise our software engineering capability Designing producing testing and implementing our working code Working across the life cycle from requirements analysis and design through coding to testing deployment and operations The skills you ll need You ll need a background in software engineering software design architecture and an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers This is a individual contributor role - must have the capability of performing independent POCs and working with cross functional departments along with the below Tech skills Design and engineer software with the customer or user experience as the primary objective Work within a feature team to engineer software scripts and tools to enable the delivery of bank platforms applications and services Liaise with other engineers architects business analysts across the platform as well as other key stakeholders to understand the objectives goals and requirements Design develop and deploy applications capable of meeting and exceeding the anticipated load performance and availability volumes including load balancing performance testing and benchmarking You ll also need Proven experience in managing large-scale distributed systems and understanding the principles of scalability and reliability Minimum of 8-10 years experience in IT and preferably from Banking Domain Mandatory Skills Frontend UI React JS Backend Java Spring boot Core Java RestAPI Microservices Database PL SQL PostgreSQL DevOps GitLab CI CD pipelines Preferred Skills Experience with AWS Cloud platforms familiarity with containerisation tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes Good to have Experience in AML Domain Fircosoft product Good Team player good written and oral communication
