Description As a Data Engineer within our Enterprise IT Applications team you will play a pivotal role in driving our data-centric initiatives forward You ll be part of a cooperative data team responsible for maintaining and evolving our centralised data warehouse ensuring it remains robust scalable secure and aligned with business needs Your work will directly support strategic decision-making across the organisation by enabling high-quality reliable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure This is a hands-on role that demands a proactive mindset strong technical expertise in data engineering and a passion for building systems that empower data-driven growth Responsibilities Connecting to and extracting data from source systems applying business logic in the form of data transformations Identifying and implementing new data collection processes to include all relevant information Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple teams and geographies to understand business requirements and translate them into solutions Design develop and maintain scalable automated user-friendly processes reports dashboards Develop and maintain a ADF data warehouse solution ETL pipelines and data models to support business intelligence and reporting Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify critical data assets data flows and potential data quality issues Lead complex data analysis to help stakeholders understand data quality issues Proactively measure and analyse data identify risks and issues and present solutions Collaborate with the reporting team for effective data distribution Independently drive projects and prioritization between projects to earn trust from stakeholders Skills Knowledge Expertise Demonstrable hand-on experience of designing and delivering data warehouse solutions Understanding cloud concepts data storage and processing SQL ETL and data integration patterns A strong understanding of ETL processes and the ability to design build and maintain data pipelines Writing SQL scripts and stored procedures supporting the analysis and reporting of data and the diagnosis of issues in loading and reporting Knowledge of data governance frameworks and security best practices is crucial for ensuring data quality and compliance Proven experience of working with business and technical stakeholders to deliver suitable solutions Experience of data migration strategies system integration and customisation within the ERP space Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to translate business needs into clear and comprehensive architectural documents Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy About Forterro Founded in 2012 Forterro has grown to become a category leader in industrial software - with strongholds in Europe s top production economies as well as regional service hubs and development centres around the world From more than 40 office locations our 2 500 employees provide and support software for more than 13 000 industrial businesses Our products are deeply rooted in the demands of their local geography And each is designed to strengthen and accelerate our customers ability to operate efficiently and compete effectively
