Job Profile - School DriverPosition School Driver Department Transport Administration Reports to Transport In-charge Administrative Officer Job Purpose To ensure safe and timely transportation of students and staff between their homes school and other assigned destinations while maintaining discipline vehicle safety and compliance with traffic and school rules Key Responsibilities Transportation Duties Safely drive students and staff along assigned routes Pick up and drop students on time at designated stops Provide transport support for school activities field trips and events Safety Discipline Ensure all passengers wear seat belts where applicable Maintain discipline and ensure students safety while boarding riding and alighting Follow all traffic laws and school transport policies strictly Vehicle Maintenance Conduct daily inspection of vehicle brakes fuel oil lights tires etc Keep the vehicle clean well-maintained and in good running condition Report any mechanical issues or repairs needed immediately Record Keeping Maintain logbook of trips mileage and fuel consumption Ensure vehicle documents insurance registration pollution certificate are valid and up to date Emergency Handling Handle breakdowns accidents or medical emergencies responsibly Provide first aid when necessary Inform school authorities promptly in case of incidents Required Skills Competencies Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic rules Alertness patience and responsibility Ability to manage children with care and discipline Good communication and interpersonal skills Qualifications Experience Minimum 10th pass or as per institutional requirement Valid commercial driving license Heavy Vehicle LMV as required Minimum 3-5 years of safe driving experience Prior school driving experience preferred Working Conditions Early morning and afternoon shifts based on school timing Additional duties for school functions tours or emergencies Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Job Types Full-time Permanent Contractual Temporary Contract length 12 months Pay 6 000 00 - 10 000 00 per month Advantages Cell phone reimbursement Food provided Health insurance Work Location In person
