team is responsible for developing add-in APIs for both Desktop and Mobile platforms enhancing the functionality and user experience of Outlook The ideal candidate will have a solid background in platforms Be the feature driver of a high performing system work with talented group of engineers and foster a diverse inclusive and result driven team culture Drives and supports partnership with appropriate stakeholders e g project manager technical lead to determine user requirements within teams Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product application service or platform Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual DRI and motivates other engineers across products working on call to monitor system product service for degradation downtime or interruptions Seeks new knowledge that will improve the availability reliability efficiency observability and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale and shares knowledge with other engineers Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4 years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including but not limited to C C C Java JavaScript or Python OR equivalent experience 4 years of software design and development experience Experience in managing highly complex large scale software engineering projects Demonstrated experience in collaborating with geographically distributed partner teams Other Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft customer and or government security screening requirements are required for this role These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings Microsoft Cloud Background Check This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire transfer and every two years thereafter Preferred Qualifications JavaScript is the preferred language Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 4 years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including but not limited to C C C Java JavaScript or Python OR Master s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2 years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including but not limited to C C C Java JavaScript or Python OR equivalent
