About the Role We are seeking a Mgr Sr Mgr - F A to join our high-growth Series C startup Reporting to VP-Finance this role will lead the finance control function This team lead role is pivotal in establishing a robust financial infrastructure and ensuring full compliance across all our global operations Key Responsibilities Team Leadership o Manage and mentor a team of 5-6 finance professionals overseeing accounting compliance and reporting functions o Foster a culture of continuous improvement knowledge sharing and integrity Accounting Compliance Operations o Lead the end-to-end accounting operations adhering to India GAAP and Singapore GAAP o Design document and implement strong accounting processes internal controls and financial structures Taxation and Regulatory o Oversee all tax-related matters ensuring compliance with Indian GST Income Tax and other relevant regulations o Handle monthly quarterly and yearly tax filings and statutory submissions o Liaise effectively with tax advisors regulatory authorities and financial consultants Payroll Reporting o Manage timely and accurate monthly payroll processing in compliance with statutory requirements o Lead preparation of financial statements management reports and Board presentations o Supervise regular statutory internal and external audits ensuring accuracy and timely closure Stakeholder Engagement o Build strong working relationships with statutory auditors internal auditors consultants and tax agencies o Provide financial insights and reports to management and external stakeholders Technology Enablement o Identify and leverage technology solutions for improved reporting process automation and compliance o Spearhead adoption of best-in-class tools for finance and payroll operations Requirements Requirements Criteria Details Qualification Chartered Accountant CA Experience 6 years in finance roles preferably in startups online or direct-to-consumer businesses GAAP Knowledge Deep expertise in Singapore and India GAAP Tax Expertise Comprehensive knowledge of Indian taxation GST Income Tax etc Background Preferred Experience at Big 4 audit firms is highly desirable Tech Savvy Proven track record of driving automation and technology adoption in finance teams Leadership Managed teams and cross-functional finance projects Other Skills Excellent communication analytical and stakeholder management skills Desired Candidate Profile Demonstrated ability to build and scale finance teams in high-growth environments Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in India and Singapore High attention to detail business acumen and analytical mindset Track record of working effectively with auditors consultants and regulators Experienced in automating accounting tax and payroll processes Benefits What We Offer Dynamic innovative and team-oriented environment Direct impact on financial strategy and growth trajectory Opportunity to play a leadership role in a category-defining startup
