no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes What role will you play In this role you will become a member of the LER team focused on providing finance subject matter expertise in Financial Control As part of this inclusive and supportive team your core responsibilities will include coordinating and supporting functional finance teams and gathering required artefacts for entities Leveraging your ability to swiftly understand the business context and you ll help to prepare documents and memorandums Part of your responsibilities will also be to engage with multiple teams like LEC Tax HR business operations and legal teams etc to confirm if entities are clean and ready to be dissolved so it is important that you possess an understanding of semi-annual assessments for ability to pay dividends impairment requirements and thin-capitalisation status for entities You ll also manage the clean-up of residual business balances in the GL e g fixed assets funding remap settle intercompany balances book suspense amounts etc What you offer CA or alternately B Com with CPA ICWA MBA with an overall post-qualification experience of 3 years relevant experience in Financial Services or in an Accounting Firm Strong finance knowledge across audit management financial statement preparation dissolution liquidation process of entities and management reporting Experience in financial control legal entity control BAU activities such as monitoring for FX exposures cross border interest booking accounting credit provisions intercompany funding and similar Detail-oriented with good intuitive reasoning along with strong communication analytical organisational and research skills Expertise in finance control and accounting processes with ability to coordinate multiple assignments and work independently Knowledge of advanced MS Excel and basic PowerBI skills Experience with Alteryx and SQL would be advantageous We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us if you re excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply What we offer At Macquarie you re empowered to shape a career that s rewarding in all the ways that matter most to you Macquarie employees can access a wide range of benefits which depending on eligibility criteria include 1 wellbeing leave day per year 26 weeks paid maternity leave or 20 weeks paid parental leave for primary caregivers along with 12 days of paid transition leave upon return to work and 6 weeks paid leave for secondary caregivers Company-subsidised childcare services 2 days of paid volunteer leave and donation matching Advantages to support your physical mental and financial wellbeing including comprehensive medical and life insurance cover the option to join parental medical insurance plan and virtual medical consultations extended to family members Access to our Employee Assistance Program a robust behavioural health network with counselling and coaching services Access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities including reimbursement for professional membership or subscription Hybrid and flexible working arrangements dependent on role Reimbursement for work from home equipment About Financial Management People and Engagement Financial Management People and Engagement FPE provides a single interface for Macquarie s businesses across key areas of people strategy communications and financial management Comprising two pillars -
