Job Summary The Nursing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire nursing services of the hospital The role ensures the highest standards of patient care effective utilization of nursing staff adherence to medical and administrative policies and continuous improvement in clinical outcomes and service quality Key Responsibilities Administration Leadership Supervise and coordinate all nursing services across departments Plan allocate and manage nursing staff schedules Ensure compliance with hospital policies procedures and accreditation standards Conduct regular staff meetings and briefings to maintain communication Patient Care Safety Monitor nursing care to ensure quality safety and patient satisfaction Implement infection control and patient safety protocols Ensure timely response to patient needs and complaints Human Resource Management Recruit train and mentor nursing staff Conduct performance appraisals counseling and disciplinary actions as required Identify staff training needs and organize continuing education programs Quality Compliance Ensure compliance with NABH JCI or other relevant accreditation standards Monitor nursing documentation and records for accuracy Participate in hospital audits quality initiatives and clinical governance Coordination Communication Act as a link between management doctors and nursing staff Collaborate with medical administrative and support staff for smooth operations Represent the nursing department in hospital committees Resource Management Ensure proper utilization of manpower medical supplies and equipment Oversee procurement and maintenance of nursing supplies Maintain cost-effective operations without compromising patient care Qualifications Requirements B Sc M Sc in Nursing from a recognized institution Minimum 10-15 years of experience in nursing with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory role Strong leadership decision-making and communication skills Knowledge of hospital administration nursing policies and accreditation standards Compassionate ethical and patient-centered approach Key Skills Leadership team management Critical decision-making Patient care excellence Conflict resolution Knowledge of clinical administrative protocols Job Type Full time Pay Up to 85 000 00 per month
