We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations to lead and manage the complete operations of our Casting Foundry unit in Ahmedabad The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in ferrous and or non-ferrous casting processes extensive leadership experience and a passion for driving operational excellence cost efficiency and product quality Required Education Dip BE in Metallurgy with min 12 to 15 Years of Experience as Prodcution Head or Operation Head Profile in Casting or Foundry Indsutry Key Responsibilities Strategic Operational Leadership Foundry Break Down cast Iron SG Iron Ductile iron Carbon Steel Castings Lead the overall foundry operations including Production Quality Maintenance SCM and EHS Define and implement short and long-term operational strategies aligned with company goals Optimize production plans to meet customer requirements minimize costs and maximize efficiency Production Management Oversee all aspects of melting molding core making pouring fettling and heat treatment Monitor daily production output and quality targets and drive continuous improvements Introduce lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to reduce wastage and downtime Quality Assurance Control Ensure that products meet national and international quality standards ISO IATF etc Collaborate with the Quality team to reduce rejections and customer complaints Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations Team Leadership Development Lead mentor and manage a cross-functional team of engineers supervisors and operators Identify training needs and develop skill enhancement programs for the operations team Foster a culture of accountability safety and continuous improvement Cost Management Budgeting Develop and manage operational budgets monitor cost variances and ensure profitability Drive cost-saving initiatives across production energy consumption and material usage Supply Chain Vendor Coordination Coordinate with the supply chain team for timely procurement of raw materials and consumables Maintain robust relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations Maintenance Safety Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance systems are effectively implemented Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and statutory compliance e g Factory Act Pollution Control etc Key Skills Competencies In-depth knowledge of foundry processes - cast Iron SG Iron Ductile iron Carbon Steel Castings Strong leadership planning and decision-making capabilities Excellent communication analytical and interpersonal skills Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 150 000 00 - 200 000 00 per month Benefits Leave encashment Paid sick time Paid time off Provident Fund Education Bachelor s Preferred Experience as Production Head in Casting Foundry Indsutry 10 years Preferred as Operation Head in Casting Foundry Industry 10 years Preferred Work Location In person
