What would you do
The Team Lead – Medicare Enrollment is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the enrollment team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of Medicare applications, renewals, and disenrollments. This role ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines (such as those from the Centers for Medicare Medicaid Services (CMS)) and internal policies while driving team productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.Team Leadership Management:Lead, mentor, and support a team of enrollment processorsAssign workloads and monitor productivity and turnaround times (TAT)Conduct team meetings, one-on-ones, and performance evaluationsProvide training, coaching, and development support to team membersEnrollment Operations Oversight:Oversee processing of Medicare enrollment, re-enrollment, and disenrollment applicationsEnsure accuracy and completeness of member recordsMonitor daily queues and prioritize workloads to meet SLAsHandle complex cases and provide guidance on escalationsCompliance Quality Assurance:Ensure adherence to CMS guidelines and regulatory requirementsMaintain compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
standards for data confidentialityConduct quality audits and provide feedback for performance improvementIdentify and mitigate compliance risksStakeholder Coordination:Collaborate with cross-functional teams (claims, billing, customer service, providers)Act as the point of contact for escalations from members, providers, and internal stakeholdersEnsure transparent communication of enrollment updates and issuesReporting Process Improvement:Track and analyze team performance metrics (productivity, accuracy, TAT)Prepare reports and dashboards for management reviewIdentify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiencySupport system updates, policy changes, and process transitions
