1. Technical Leadership & Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT/development team, including developers and QA, and ensure high performance and productivity.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, code quality, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Allocate resources effectively across ongoing projects and balance workload across the team.

2. Technical Architecture & Development Oversight

- Own the technical architecture and design decisions for applications built on PHP (Laravel), ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Review code and technical designs to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and maintainability.
- Guide the team on database design, query optimization, and performance tuning on MS SQL and MySQL.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and frameworks to improve product quality and development efficiency.

3. Project & Process Management

- Drive Agile / Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and manage the delivery backlog using Jira.
- Ensure proper version control practices and code management discipline using GitHub.
- Identify project risks and bottlenecks proactively and implement mitigation plans.

4. Stakeholder & Business Management

- Act as the key technical point of contact for internal stakeholders, leadership, and (where applicable) international clients/partners.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical roadmaps and communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Prepare and present technical status reports, dashboards, and analytics to management on a regular basis.

5. Quality, Analytics & Continuous Improvement





- Use data and analytics to monitor system performance, team productivity, and product quality, driving informed decision-making.
- Establish and track technical KPIs, SLAs, and quality benchmarks across projects.

Preferred candidate profile

Education

- Regular full-time graduate from a recognized college/university, any stream (Strictly no candidates from Open School / Distance Education).
- B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics & Communication.
- BCA/MCA-a strong plus given the seniority and technical depth required

Experience

- Minimum 710 years of overall IT / software development experience.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in IT team handling / technical leadership roles.
- Experience working on international products or with global clients is preferred.

Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on / working knowledge of Java and PHP (Laravel framework).
- Proficiency with version control and collaboration tools such as GitHub.
- Sound understanding of Agile / Scrum methodology and project tracking using Jira.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems MS SQL and MySQL.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive technical decisions.

Skills & Competencies

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong email writing and skilled business correspondence skills.
- Proven stakeholder management skills — able to work with senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, target/outcome-oriented, and comfortable owning end-to-end technical delivery.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets for reporting and data tracking.
- Ability to work in a hybrid mode, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work.
