Purpose of the Job:
The proposed position will support the effective functioning of YuWaah as a multistakeholder partnership platform. The incumbent will contribute to the coordination of governance mechanisms, partnership management and reporting processes, stakeholder engagement, and high-level convenings. The role will also support engagement with government stakeholders, UN agencies and other development partners to advance collective action for youth development and strengthen the visibility, effectiveness and impact of YuWaah's partnership ecosystem.
Roles Responsibilities:
A) Governance, Partnership Management and Ecosystem Engagement
- Support the coordination and operationalisation of YuWaah's governance mechanisms, including the Board, Leaders Council and other strategic engagement platforms.
- Support relationship management and engagement with YuWaah partners across the private sector, philanthropy, civil society, youth networks and other ecosystem stakeholders.
- Coordinate partner reporting, stakeholder communications and knowledge-sharing processes.
- Support the planning and delivery of high-level convenings, consultations and partnership engagement opportunities, including Youth Central and other strategic platforms.
- Contribute to the development of partnership materials, briefing notes, presentations and reports.
B) Government Relations, UN Partnerships and Advocacy
- Support engagement and coordination with government stakeholders, UN agencies and other development partners to advance YuWaah's priorities.
- Facilitate collaboration, information-sharing and joint initiatives across partners and stakeholders.
- Support advocacy,
knowledge management and thought leadership efforts related to youth development, employability, entrepreneurship and inclusion.
- Contribute to strengthening equity and inclusion considerations across YuWaah partnerships and initiatives, particularly for underserved and marginalized young people.
C) Other Responsibilities
- Support cross-functional initiatives, special projects and emerging priorities of YuWaah as required.
- Undertake other partnership, governance stakeholder engagement and coordination responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have
- Minimum requirements
- Education : Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Social Science, Development Studies, Communications, Business Administration, Political Science, International relations, public policy and any other related fields.
- Work Experience : At least 1 year of relevant work experience in Partnerships, Communication, Stakeholder engagement, external relations, programme coordination, government engagement or any other related fields.
- Skills : Coordination Skills, Cross-Functional Initiatives, Presentation Skills, Government Engagement, Report Writing Skills.
- Language Requirements: English and Hindi - Proficient/Fluent.
- Desirables
- Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
- Multilateral Organizations, Public-Private Partnerships, Government Stakeholder Engagement, Private Sector and Philanthropy Engagement proficiency in English and Hindi.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
