The Head of Electrical Engineering will lead the Electrical Engineering Department responsible for the design, development, standardization, and execution of Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear projects. The role involves managing engineering teams, ensuring compliance with national and international standards, driving innovation, optimizing engineering processes, and supporting business growth while ensuring timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Role & responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

- Lead and manage the complete Electrical Engineering function for MV Switchgear products.
- Develop engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
- Allocate engineering resources across projects effectively.

Design & Engineering

- Oversee detailed engineering of:
- MV Switchgear Panels
- Ring Main Units (RMU)
- Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCB)
- Protection & control Schemes

- Review and approve:

- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- General Arrangement (GA)
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Schematic & Wiring Diagrams
- Cable Schedules
- Interlocking Schemes
- Relay & CT Selection

Technical Knowledge





- Knowledge of International & Indian standards for MV switchgear
- Knowledge & understanding utility Specifications
- Knowledge & understanding customer Technical Specifications

- Safety, quality, and statutory regulations.

Preferred candidate profile

- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- Experience: 1520+ years in Electrical Engineering with 810 years in a leadership role in MV Switchgear.
- Industry: Experience in manufacturing/design of 11kV, 22kV & 33kV MV Switchgear, including VCB Panels, RMUs, AIS/GIS Switchgear, and Protection & Control Panels.
- Technical Skills: Robust knowledge of MV Switchgear design, IEC/IS standards, protection schemes, power systems, AutoCAD Electrical, and ERP.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead engineering teams, manage projects, standardize designs, drive innovation, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Key Competencies: Technical expertise, project management, customer focus, problem-solving, strategic planning, and team development.
