About Akyra Active Life

Akyra Active Life, a part of the Jindmahia Group, is seeking a talented and creative Western Wear Fashion Designer to join our growing fashion team in Delhi. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of contemporary fashion, trend forecasting, garment construction, and product development for women's western wear categories.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop innovative western wear collections including dresses, tops, shirts, trousers, skirts, jumpsuits, co-ord sets, and casual wear.
- Research global fashion trends, fabrics, colors, prints, and silhouettes.
- Create mood boards, design concepts, technical sketches, and detailed tech packs.
- Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure timely collection launches.
- Source fabrics, trims, and accessories that align with the brand's aesthetic and quality standards.
- Oversee sample development, fittings, and garment refinement.
- Ensure designs meet commercial, functional, and aesthetic requirements.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners and vendors during product development.
- Analyze market trends and competitor products to identify new opportunities.




- Maintain quality standards throughout the design and development process.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design from NIFT (preferred) or a reputed fashion institute.
- 35 years of experience in Western Wear Fashion Design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing women's western wear collections.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or other design software.
- Excellent knowledge of garment construction, pattern development, fabrics, and fit.
- Robust understanding of current fashion trends and consumer preferences.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in fast-fashion, contemporary women's fashion, or lifestyle brands.
- Knowledge of fabric sourcing and product costing.
- Ability to forecast trends and translate them into commercially successful collections.
- Strong presentation and visual merchandising understanding.
