Role & responsibilities

1. Technical Service & Maintenance

- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues in welding machines (MIG, TIG, ARC, SAW, Stud welders).
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Conduct installation, calibration, and commissioning of new welding equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical/mechanical regulations.

2. Customer Support

- Provide on-site technical assistance and resolve customer complaints promptly.
- Deliver first-time fix solutions to minimize repeat service calls.
- Train operators and technicians on proper usage and maintenance of welding equipment.
- Maintain professional communication with customers, dealers, and distributors.

3. Documentation & Reporting

- Prepare detailed service reports, work orders, and expense logs.
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory and usage.
- Update and develop technical manuals and service documentation.

4. Leadership & Mentorship

- Guide and mentor junior service engineers and technicians.
- Lead service projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, applications, R&D;).
- Share technical knowledge and best practices to improve team efficiency.

5. Process & Quality Improvement

- Collaborate with product teams to provide feedback on recurring issues.
- Suggest and implement process improvements for service quality.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company service policies

Preferred candidate profile

1. Educational Background

- Diploma/Degree in Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
- Specialized training in welding technology, automation, or inverter-based systems is added advantage.

2. Experience

- 58 years of hands-on experience in servicing welding equipment (MIG, TIG, ARC, SAW, Stud welders).
- Proven track record in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Prior experience in customer-facing field service roles.

3. Technical Skills





- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, control systems in welding machines.
- Ability to perform advanced diagnostics using tools and software.
- Familiarity with spare parts management, calibration, and service documentation.
- Understanding of welding processes, consumables, and applications.

4. Soft Skills & Leadership

- Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to train operators and mentor junior engineers.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Team leadership experience with coordination across sales, R&D;, and technical teams.
