Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft SQL (MS SQL) Developer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL Server databases that support our ERP and business applications. You will work closely with software developers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to build efficient database solutions, improve application performance, and ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Development

- Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases to support ERP and business applications.
- Create and maintain database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexes.
- Develop scalable database structures following database normalization best practices.

SQL Programming

- Write efficient, optimized, and reusable T-SQL queries.
- Develop complex stored procedures, user-defined functions, and triggers to support business logic.
- Work with joins, subqueries, CTEs, temporary tables, transactions, cursors, and agile SQL where required.

Database Performance Optimization

- Analyze and optimize slow-running SQL queries.
- Perform query tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis to improve database performance.
- Identify and resolve database bottlenecks and performance issues.

Data Management

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across applications.
- Assist in data migration, data import/export, and database maintenance activities.
- Support backup and recovery processes in coordination with the database administration team.

Application Support

- Collaborate with .NET developers and product teams to integrate SQL Server databases with applications.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues reported by users or development teams.




- Provide database support during application development, testing, deployment, and production.

Reporting & Business Intelligence

- Develop SQL queries and database objects to support MIS reports and business reporting requirements.
- Assist in generating reports for business users using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), where applicable.

Documentation

- Maintain technical documentation for database design, stored procedures, database changes, and optimization activities.

Requirements:

- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as an SQL Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role with a focus on database development and optimization.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, with hands-on experience in writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Well-versed in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and proficient in database design, normalization, and performance tuning techniques such as indexing, query optimization, and execution plan analysis. Familiar with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for data integration and reporting..
- Database Security & Backup: Experience implementing database security measures and performing regular backups and recovery procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve database performance issues or query errors.
- Business & Application Understanding: Experience working with business applications (e.g., e-commerce systems, ERP) and understanding their database requirements.

Preferred:

- Experience with large-scale database systems or complex enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with cloud database solutions (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Knowledge of SQL databases or multi-cloud database architectures.
