Job Description

The Team:

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a talented Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable network infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance across our global operations.

The Role:
Design, configure, and deploy network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
Troubleshoot complex network problems, including connectivity, performance, and security-related incidents.
Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures, including access control lists, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Perform regular network audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to understand requirements and provide network solutions.




Participate in on-call rotation for network support and incident response.
Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and security.

What youll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise setting.
Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, etc.) and network services (DNS, DHCP).
Proficiency with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) is essential.
Experience with network security best practices and technologies (e.g., VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIP) are highly desirable.
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
