Roles & Responsibility:

Raw Material & In-Process Inspection

- Incoming Material Testing: Inspect and test incoming raw materials (monomers, resins, pigments, solvents, and additives) against supplier COAs (Certificates of Analysis) to ensure they meet formulation specs.
- Batch Monitoring: Monitor critical in-process parameters such as viscosity, density, solid content, and temperature during the mixing and compounding phases.
- First-Piece Approval: Conduct initial batch testing (e.g., color matching, grind gauge/particle size analysis) before clearing production lines for full-scale packaging.

## Final Product Quality Control (QC)

- Performance Testing: Perform specialized testing unique to polymers and coatings, including adhesion strength (pull-off/cross-hatch), tensile strength, elongation, cure time, and hardness (Shore/Persoz Hardness).
- Color & Appearance Verification: Utilize spectrophotometers and visual checks under standardized lighting to ensure exact color matching, gloss levels, and drawdown consistency for paints and coatings.
- Environmental & Durability Testing: Conduct shelf-life, stability, moisture-resistance,



and chemical-resistance testing on finished sealants and adhesives.

## Documentation & Compliance

- COA Generation: Prepare and issue accurate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for outgoing shipments to clients.
- Batch Records: Maintain meticulous digital and physical logs of all test results, formulation deviations, and instrument calibrations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with environmental, safety, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, REACH, or VOC regulations).

## Non-Conformance & Continuous Improvement

- Defect Isolation: Identify, tag, and segregate out-of-specification (OOS) batches or raw materials to prevent accidental use or shipment.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Partner with the R&D; and production teams to investigate batch failures (e.g., separation, poor curing, off-color) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Equipment Calibration: Perform routine calibration and maintenance on laboratory equipment such as viscometers, pycnometers, tensile testers, and pH meters
