Role Summary
Mizaj is looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to improve productivity, production efficiency and workflow across our customized mens attire factory. The candidate must have hands-on experience in garment manufacturing, SMV/SAM analysis, time study, line balancing, capacity planning and manpower optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct SMV/SAM analysis for shirts, trousers, suits, blazers and other customized menswear products.
- Prepare detailed operation breakdowns for current and existing garment styles.
- Perform time study, motion study, method study and work measurement.
- Set realistic hourly, daily and weekly production targets.
- Conduct line balancing and allocate operations according to employee skills and production requirements.
- Calculate production capacity, manpower and machine requirements.
- Monitor operator, section and overall factory efficiency.
- Identify production bottlenecks, idle time, excess movement and workflow delays.
- Improve production methods, workstation layouts and garment-handling processes.
- Prepare skill matrices and support the effective allocation of tailors and operators.
- Coordinate with cutting, stitching, pattern, finishing, quality and production teams.
- Track planned production against actual production and standard minutes.
- Support production planning based on garment complexity, order volume and delivery schedules.
- Reduce rework, waiting time, production losses and unnecessary handling.
- Prepare daily and weekly IE reports, efficiency reports and production dashboards.
- Support continuous improvement, cost reduction and productivity-enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure productivity improvements do not affect garment quality, fit or finishing standards.
