Role & responsibilities

- Develop and validate laser applications based on customer requirements.
- Finalize laser source specifications and select the appropriate laser type for various applications.
- Design, execute, and validate Proof of Concepts (POCs) for laser welding, laser marking, and laser ablation.
- Develop and optimize laser processing parameters for metals and non-metals.
- Support application trials, demonstrations, and process validation activities.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and automation teams for laser system integration.
- Troubleshoot application-related issues and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare technical reports, application documentation, and process validation records.

Preferred candidate profile

- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in industrial laser application engineering.
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Solid expertise in laser welding, laser marking, and laser ablation process development.
- Proven experience in laser source selection, specification finalization, and application feasibility studies.




- Hands-on experience in developing and validating Proof of Concepts (POCs) from concept to production.
- Experience in precision laser welding of small and complex components.
- Knowledge of laser processing on ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and non-metallic materials.
- Experience in laser automation, process optimization, and system integration.
- Exposure to laser-based measurement or vision systems will be an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills with the ability to conduct technical discussions and application demonstrations.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits, application trials, and technical support, as required.
