We're Hiring | Safety Officer

Sodexo is looking for a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team.

Location: Sriperumbudur

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct risk assessments, maintain the Risk Register, and train employees on hazard identification and reporting.
- Ensure legal compliance by maintaining the Legal Register and escalating non-compliances.
- Perform safety walks, safety observations, and self-inspections, ensuring timely closure of findings in the Salus system.
- Promote near-miss reporting, investigate incidents, prepare root cause analyses (RCA), implement corrective actions, and share learnings.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, food safety practices, HSMS requirements, engineering and electrical safety standards, and SOPs.
- Maintain HSE documentation, records, checklists, and statutory compliance.
- Plan and conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns,



and training programs as per the training matrix.
- Verify calibration of critical equipment and monitor PPE compliance across sites.
- Track HSE audit findings, safety declarations, mobilization requirements, and subcontractor compliance.
- Coordinate with site teams, clients, vendors, and regional stakeholders to close safety observations, SNAGs, and audit findings.
- Support emergency preparedness, mock drills, Business Continuity Plan (BCP) reviews, audits, SOP reviews, and HSE reporting
