Role & responsibilities

- Supervise the day-to-day Accounts Payable operations and ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
- Review and approve invoice processing, payment proposals, and accounting entries prepared by the AP team.
- Ensure proper three-way matching (Purchase Order, Goods Receipt Note, and Supplier Invoice) before invoice processing.
- Monitor vendor balances and review AP ageing reports to ensure timely settlement of liabilities.
- Review supplier reconciliations and resolve complex invoice and payment discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, and other departments to obtain invoice approvals and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with delegated authority limits, maker-checker controls, company policies, and internal control procedures.
- Prepare and review weekly and monthly payment schedules for management approval.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including AP reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable statutory requirements relating to supplier transactions.




- Maintain accurate vendor master data and oversee vendor onboarding processes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing AP records, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
- Monitor AP KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Train, mentor, and supervise the Accounts Payable team, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
- Prepare AP reports and management information as required by the Finance Manager.
- Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by management.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Qualified qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- 5 - 8 years of Accounts Payable experience, including 23 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with ERP systems and shared service environments is preferred.
- UAE experience and knowledge of local tax and regulatory requirements are an advantage
